Unless you want it to get sick, I’d get it right out of there. Here’s more info.:
If I hear something may be dangerous to the animal, I wouldn’t question it….just take care of it. Hope this helps.

Gerbils are very susceptible to gambling addiction, hence no betting allowed.

Cedar Bedding has a lot of dust in it and since your gerbils are probably nesting in it and have their face in it a lot the bedding and dust can get in their noses and mouths and cause respritory diseases.
